Having been a national sales manager for a large company, Richard is only too aware of the marketing budgets companies have to adhere to. Therefore, he ensures that our corporate clients from major companies receive the best possible value for money.

Laura started her life at The Card House as a Saturday girl and in now our very competent supervisor. She brings new fresh ideas into the business and takes her duties very seriously. She is a competent balloon decorator and will help you with colours and designs to make every occasion memorable. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to Yankee Candle and, along with Lauren, will hold a Yankee Candle party at your home should you request it.

As a fully trained florist Angie puts all her artistic flair into making ladies and gents favours for that special occasion. If you call in the shop Angie will make a sample favour for you to take away, enabling you to match them to your event décor. Angie is also a fully trained balloon decorator.

Becky is Cath's daughter and has been fully trained in both event and corporate balloon décor. However, since the birth of her daughter Francesca in July '09, Becky has changed roles, and is now working on our website. Her sole aim is to ensure smooth running of the site, which includes giving our internet customers the high standard of customer service they can expect to find within the shop.

Even though Lauren and Carol are relative newcomers, they make up our all important sales team, each one specialising in a certain part of the shop. Lauren will help you choose your Yankee Candle favourites and Carol will assist the bride to be in our large first floor wedding room. Each of them is a valued member of staff.

These girls are our teenage Weekend Crew and have all been trained to the high standard of customer service Card House customers have come to expect. Each of them can help you choose a present for a loved one, suggest balloon colours for that all important event or just simply serve you with a smile. All four girls are full-time students studying for their chosen careers, and we will be sorry to see them go when the time comes.

Amy and Caragh are also Richard's daughters.

If you come to the shop on a Saturday, you will meet the formidable duo known as Brian and Marjorie (aka Cath's Dad and Stepmum). The Card House could not function without this mature couple, whose duties range from putting up shelves, tidying and rearranging the stock room (over and over again), to printing tickets and invitations for store events and replacing light bulbs. To define Brian as an odd job man would be an understatement! Marjorie's forte, however, is producing beautiful handmade wedding stationery and table plans bespoke to any occasion.
